An anthropologist at heart, not by trade, DeWane Stone began his interest in photography over 20 years ago. Always fascinated with the remains of cultures gone by, he explores ruins and abandoned places. DeWane has turned his lens to the urban decay of America, focusing where he lives in Atlanta, Georgia. He enjoys photographing abstracts, landscapes, architecture, and continues to document forgotten America. “The anthropologist in me is always trying to understand the history of the abandoned.” |
